This page explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on the Pragma Core website, why we use them, how long they last, and how you can change your mind at any moment. We have written this in plain language because a policy you cannot read is not a policy at all.
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your device when you visit it. It lets the site remember things between visits, such as that you are logged in or what theme you prefer. Some cookies live only as long as your browser window is open. Others stay for days, months, or up to a year. Other technologies such as localStorage work in a similar way and are covered by the same rules here.
These cookies are required for the site to function. We do not ask for your consent because the site cannot work without them. They handle things like keeping you signed in, protecting forms against cross-site request forgery, and remembering your light or dark theme choice.
These cookies help us understand which pages people visit and where the experience can be improved. We use Google Analytics for this. The data is aggregated and we never tie it to your name or email. You can switch this off and the site will still work normally.
These are used in a limited way to measure newsletter open rates (so we know whether the things we publish are useful) and to remember if you have already seen a specific promotion. They do not build an advertising profile of you and we never share data with ad networks. Off by default.

You can change your cookie choices at any time. Click the button below or the Cookie settings link in the footer.
You can also clear cookies through your browser. Each browser does this slightly differently but they all let you delete cookies for a single site or all sites. If you delete the consent cookie we will ask you again the next time you visit.
If you are based in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or any country with similar legislation, you have the following rights regarding personal data we process:
You can exercise any of these rights by writing to us. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our reply you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
The only third party loaded on the public site is Google Analytics, and only if you allow it. We do not sell your data to anyone and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
If we add a new cookie or remove one, we update this page and bump the date at the top. If the change is significant we will also surface a new banner so you can review your choices.
